The Box Office Coordinator is devoted to providing direct customer service to the public by responding to inquiries, reservations, payments and event ticket sales logistics. This role provides specialized and technical customer service work and may serve as a lead worker to other staff. Work includes generating and maintaining a filing system for each scheduled event; maintaining financial transaction reports and personnel records; making daily revenue deposits; selling tickets; running opening and closing reports and assisting with ticket sales logistics including pricing, scaling, and VIP package development.

Work Hours This position is expected to work Monday - Friday; 8:00 - 5:00 pm and is subject to change based on the events schedule and on‑site coverage needed to support events. This includes, but is not limited to early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job‑related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
Coordinates and monitors box office activities; provides technical and specialized support related to box office operations and procedures; performs ticket sales.
May serve as lead worker by assigning work and monitoring work completion.
Prepares and maintains a filing system for each scheduled event; organizes event and ticketing information.
Performs box office opening and closing procedures; prepares cash drawers; verifies daily revenue receipts and prepares bank deposits.
Assists in preparing and maintaining financial reports; prepares schedules; maintains personnel records.
Assists with event sales logistics including pricing, scaling, sales package development and marketing; provides ticketing information to partner and promotion companies.
The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as determined by venue events.
Education and Experience High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency; 1 to 3 years' experience in ticketing systems or related field
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted
Knowledge Of

Cash and credit card processing systems
Seating areas for all venues
Modern office practices and procedures including the use of standard office equipment and computer applications such as word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications

ADA and Other Requirements Physical Effort: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Work Environment Work is typically performed in an office or similar indoor environment.
Work Exposures Work in this position does not require frequent environmental exposures. Employees may occasionally be exposed to Individuals who are hostile or irate.
