Job Description Product Specialists in Private Wealth play an integral role in providing investment detail to client stakeholders. They cover the entire product lifecycle, from fundraising through investment and return‑of‑capital. They provide domain knowledge and expertise on investments, performance, market dynamics, and competitors. Product Specialists have key internal and external stakeholders, including BX investment teams, Private Wealth sales professionals, various due diligence teams, financial advisors, and end‑clients.
Responsibilities
Assist in answering a broad range of client and sales team inquiries about Blackstone’s products, market views, etc.
Analyze the competitive landscape through reviewing peers’ filing documents, presentations, etc., and distill key qualitative and quantitative takeaways.
Shepherd client‑facing work through Blackstone’s Legal & Compliance infrastructure.
Work across other Private Wealth business functions in supporting product initiatives such as Marketing, Sales, Investor Services, Finance, etc.
Enhance capital markets acumen to help contextualize Blackstone’s offerings in a diversified investment portfolio.
Help identify areas of improvement across the team’s current processes to increase efficiency of information sharing, communication with sales, global coordination, etc.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience within Investment Banking, Investment Sales, or Asset Management.
Series 7 and 63 or ability to obtain within a year of employment; CFA/CAIA a plus.
Working knowledge of the Alternatives industry/competitive landscape and desire to learn more.
Experience with Private Equity markets and investing, through a wealth lens is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to distill complex investment topics for end‑users.
Strong interpersonal skills to develop productive professional relationships with sales teams, investment teams, and other internal stakeholders.
Proficiency with a variety of analytical tools (Microsoft office, Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg).
Expected annual base salary range: $125,000 - $175,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
