Responsibilities

Participate in Drive For Results reviews with supervisor to improve skills and performance using Performance Development System as tool to conduct optimal performance discussions, articulate consistent skill evaluations, recommend actions and tactics, measure progress. Support the widespread use of PDS and support culture within the organization.

Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global import and export regulations and the management of U.S. Customs Bonded Warehouses. Train team members on compliance program and monitor/audit for compliance. Assure all export shipping documents are properly prepared and export tax liability is claimed. Ensure annual PI’s occur and results are reported per TTB regulations. Responsible for ensuring CBMA tax credit from foreign producers are assigned to Company when appropriate.

Create framework for global compliance policies and internal audits against current practices and international regulations.

Reduce risk of non‑compliance with U.S. and international regulations, potential fines, and recommend more efficient and cost‑effective ways of achieving compliance when available.

Lead the development of compliance dashboards, risk heat maps, and performance indicators for leadership reporting. Drive automation and digitization of compliance workflows for scalability and efficiency.

Utilize Drive for Success framework and Career Development System to create career goals and a plan to develop a personalized career path at Sazerac. Champion a culture of compliance through enterprise‑wide training, leadership engagement, and behavioral accountability. Oversee compliance onboarding and continuing education programs for CDL drivers, production staff, commercial team members engaged in marketing activities, and management teams.

Review and reconcile policies and procedures against regulations applicable to Sazerac and its domestic and international locations and provide specific, actionable, achievable cost‑effective recommendations to eliminate identified compliance gaps, implement systems for real‑time compliance data collection, audit management, and trend analysis.

Develop audit procedures for policies and procedures that address regulatory compliance in finance, HR, production, logistics, safety, import/export; TTB, and state ABC, food safety, and other highly regulated areas of the company. Develop an annual audit plan; execute audits; draft executive summary reports and remediation plans for departments/functions to implement to achieve greater compliance with external regulations where warranted, or decrease the cost of compliance where appropriate.

Qualifications MUST

Comfortable with change in a fast‑moving environment.

Bachelor’s Degree.

7 years Experience in a compliance related field such as TTB, Customs, IRS, auditing.

Proven success in leading multi‑site, cross‑functional compliance programs in highly regulated industries.

Expertise in internal policy audit frameworks, governance, and risk management methodologies.

Ability to travel up to 30% for compliance oversight at production and logistics sites.

PREFERRED

Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall.

Strategic thinker and passion for achieving long‑term success via hands‑on, solutions‑oriented approach.

Demonstrable success in leading operational excellence, streamlining processes and driving operational efficiencies.

JD, CPA, CIA or advanced degree in business, law or related discipline strongly preferred.

Certifications such as CCP, CAMS, CRCM, or TTB/DOT/Osha‑specific credentials.

Familiarity with GRC platforms, audit management tools, and data visualization software.

Executive‑level communication skills with experience briefing senior leadership and regulators.
