Job Summary
The
GCP Data Architect
is responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure data architectures on
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . This role ensures that data systems are optimized for analytics, machine learning, and enterprise decision‑making while adhering to best practices for governance, performance, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement
end-to-end data architecture
solutions on
GCP , including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.
Define and document
data models, data flows, and architecture blueprints
aligned with business and technical requirements.
Build and optimize
data pipelines
using GCP services such as
Cloud Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Data Fusion, and Cloud Composer .
Architect and manage
data warehouses and data lakes
using
BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataplex .
Collaborate with
data engineers, data scientists, and analysts
to ensure consistent and efficient data delivery.
Implement
data governance, security, and compliance
frameworks, including IAM, DLP, encryption, and access control policies.
Evaluate, recommend, and integrate
third‑party data tools
that complement GCP services.
Optimize
performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
of GCP data solutions.
Support
real‑time and batch data processing
architectures.
Establish and enforce
data architecture standards and best practices
across the organization.
Stay current with
GCP product updates, emerging data technologies, and cloud‑native trends .
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field .
Experience:
15+ years
in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
8+ years of hands‑on experience
designing and implementing data solutions on
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
Proven experience in
enterprise data architecture, data warehousing, and analytics .
