Sr. / Prin. Mammography Technologist Per Diem (Sign-on bonus eligible)
Radiology - Mammography, Per Diem, 85536BR. New hires are eligible for a sign on bonus.
Job Summary A CRT licensed Mammography Technologist performing screening and diagnostic breast imaging. Must produce ACR quality images for both diagnostic and screening exams, coordinate patient care, and use RIS and PACS systems. Participate in performance improvement activities, maintain quality control records, perform routine equipment testing and maintenance, and train students and new hires when necessary.
Responsibilities
Perform screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and all interventional and invasive procedures in the Mammography Department.
Comply with all regulatory mandates for mammography.
Coordinate patient care with clinicians and other departments.
Train and interact with students and new hires when necessary.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA‐approved radiologic technology training program.
Flexibility in scheduling with ability to rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to assist at any UCSF Medical Center location.
Prin Mammo Tech level: minimum 5 years of Mammography experience:
Proof of mammography training of at least 40 documented hours (certified after April 27, 1999).
Proof of having performed at least 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months.
Certificates of at least 15 CEU’s in the last 36 months, including at least 6 CEU’s in each mammography modality used.
Proof of MQSA approved 3D Tomosynthesis training.
Sr. Mammo Tech level: minimum 3 years of Mammography experience:
BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification.
Proof of mammography training of at least 40 documented hours (certified after April 27, 1999).
Proof of having performed at least 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months.
Certificates of at least 15 CEU’s in Mammography in the last 36 months.
Proof of MQSA approved 8 hours of Digital and 3D Tomosynthesis training.
Proof of initial 25 supervised mammograms.
CRT (M) Mammography Certification.
CRT (R) Radiologic Technologist Certification.
BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Recent work experience in an acute care setting.
ARRT (R) (M).
Prefer breast ultrasound experience.
CRT Fluoroscopy License.
License/Certification
CRT (M) Mammography Certification.
CRT (R) Radiologic Technologist Certification.
BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification.
