Account Manager
We are currently in search of an Account Manager to join our Sales department of the Marquardt Group in our location Rochester Hills (USA).
Account Manager is responsible for managing current business, as well as developing new business opportunities within the Off‑Road business segments. The Account Manager will plan, develop and execute on growth strategies for current and future accounts.
Essential Responsibilities
Achieve annual new business acquisition target
Lead RFQ process from initial customer contact through business award
Report account status and elevate issues when necessary to appropriate leadership
Maintain CRM database
Support sales forecasting process
Ensure adherence to business processes
Collaborate with both regional and global teams for alignment in pursuit of business success exhibiting entrepreneurial skills within a global business network
Support and mediate in case of customer escalation topics
Support finance group with customer payment topics and accounts receivable issues
Support team in presenting new technologies and products to existing customers and current products to potential new customers
Support the development of market intelligence, including white spot analysis, customer roadmaps, market trends and competitor understanding
Update and maintain relevant documentation, including supply contracts, price information, and quotations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Electrical engineering background preferred
5+ years of experience in components/systems B2B sales, preferably working with off‑road or on‑road customers
Experience working with electronics or electromechanical components preferred
Proven ability to develop and successfully execute business development and sales strategies
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MRP Software (SAP is preferred)
Ability to create a sense of community amongst members of the program management team and cross‑functional teams
Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including group presentation for large and small groups made up of project teams, management, and customers
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, sales representatives, managers, employees, and the public.
Travel This position will require travel up to 20% of the time.
