Adjunct Instructor of Health Information Systems University of Southern California – Sol Price School of Public Policy, Department of Health Policy & Management. Location: Los Angeles, California.

Overview The USC Sol Price School of Public Policy is seeking a working professional with expertise in Health Information Systems. The successful candidate should possess a master’s degree or doctorate in business, health administration, statistics, information, or operations management, or a closely related field. The candidate will be able to teach graduate-level courses related to one or more of the following areas: overview of Health Information Systems currently used to deliver effective patient care; management of health care operations and ensuring patient access; application of information technology to solve management problems; promotion of health quality and the effective use of data. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience and excellent teaching evaluations.

Teaching Responsibilities The instructor will deliver course content for PPD 511: Health Information Systems (Summer 2025: May 21, 2025 - August 12, 2025), schedule office hours, be accessible to students as appropriate, and grade assignments. Each instructor is expected to provide students with a syllabus outlining the course goals, schedule, and all requirements under the direction of the Department Chair.

Compensation The hourly rate range for this position is $29.06/hr. - $38.89/hr. When extending an offer of employment, USC considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in business, health administration, statistics, information, and operations management, or a closely related field. Prior teaching experience and excellent teaching evaluations are preferred.
