Manager, Food & Beverage Operations - Universal Kids Resort JOB SUMMARY Support the development, coordination and execution of Universal Kids Resort Food and Beverage programs and systems. Work closely with VP and Directors in driving critical projects related to Event Coordination, Menu Engineering, Capital, Labor, etc. Coordinate with company partners on Food and Beverage initiatives. Serve as the liaison between Food and Beverage, Marketing and Vendor relations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and assist special projects for Food and Beverage as assigned from inception through completion. Perform business gap analysis, design and development of project plans, cost estimating and tracking, production of documentation and deliverables, coordination and implementation of applications or solutions. Remain in strict accordance with the Department of Health and Beverage Laws. Conduct periodic meetings with Assistant Managers to review local Health Department guidelines, service and product changes and other relevant companywide communication.

Analyze daily Finance flash reports, venue statistics, revenue reports, Guest satisfaction (GSAT) and Guest Comment reports and incident reports, and video to stay in tune with the Guest experience and establish strategic plans based on observed trends. Work with the Revenue Operations Director to prioritize discretion and capital planning. Develop and adhere to labor and non-labor budgets and looks for ways to improve overall efficiency of Food & Beverage operations.

Responsible for the hiring decisions and training of staff. Directly oversee the Food and Beverage Assistant Managers while leading, coaching and mentoring Supervisors by providing feedback on performance. Ensure management team meets all objectives and accountabilities.

Responsible for providing resort-wide duty manager coverage depending on scheduled shift. Duties will include responding to escalated incidents, down times and making proper notifications to senior leadership.

Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

At times, this individual will cover an area with multiple venues across different departments. This individual will manage daily labor budgets and is responsible for the safe, efficient and friendly operation of the venues daily as well as the safety of the Team Members who work at these venues.

CERTIFICATIONS

Certified Professional Foods Manager (CPFM) certification required.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field preferred.

EXPERIENCE

3+ years supervisory experience within a Food & Beverage environment required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
