Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering Sterling Engineering is looking for a Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering in Okemos, MI. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead natural gas and civil infrastructure projects from planning and design through permitting and construction support.
Job Duties
Lead and manage civil and natural gas engineering projects from concept to completion.
Oversee planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure project success.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to project teams.
Maintain strong client relationships and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
8+ years of civil engineering experience, including 5+ years in project management.
Proven experience with natural gas systems and infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance.
PE license required (candidates scheduled to take the PE exam soon will be considered — must provide exam date).
Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
