Base pay range $115,000.00/yr – $175,000.00/yr (actual pay based on skills and experience)

City‑specific ranges:

New York City: $125,000 – $175,000

National: $115,000 – $150,000

Objective We’re seeking a proactive team player to partner with senior Client Development leaders and firm partners to drive client relationship growth, focusing on Energy & Infrastructure, Finance, Technology, and Life Sciences sectors. You’ll expand relationships with institutional clients by understanding their business and legal priorities, executing client growth plans, leading strategic events, delivering tailored thought leadership, fostering client listening, and supporting high‑impact projects.

You'll work closely with

Business Development teams (Sector & Markets, Pitch & Pursuits, Events, Operations)

Firm‑wide teams (Innovation, Pricing, Market Intelligence, Communications, Talent)

Market‑leading clients and top‑tier partners

Clear professional growth path

Direct impact on firm revenue

Collaborative and supportive team dynamic

What you’ll do Client Team Support

Deepen market and client knowledge to support client teams and identify opportunities

Develop and execute client growth strategies

Infuse client insights into pitches and RFPs, collaborating across BD teams

Assist in the design and execution of high‑touch client events

Monitor industry news and synthesize competitive intelligence for client teams

Deliver targeted thought leadership to clients

Research and design curated legal (CLE) and business training proposals

Conduct financial analysis to guide client development strategy

Proactively identify trends, new business opportunities, and measure ROI on client initiatives

Support the introduction of lateral partners to enhance client relationships

Support succession planning for client teams

Leverage client data to strengthen connections and facilitate strategic introductions

Organize and participate in regular client team meetings, including agenda creation and follow‑up

Maintain client team materials (relationship summaries, client plans, financial analysis, value reports)

Build relationships with clients and serve as key contact where appropriate

Special Projects and Additional Value‑Adds

Partner with senior Client Development leaders on client listening and service improvement

Develop client value‑adds beyond traditional client work to help us differentiate

Help manage the firm’s CRM platform and other internal tools to maximize client impact

Leverage client knowledge and sector insights across other clients and business development teams to further drive impact of cross‑practice opportunities

Your Experience

7+ years’ experience in law firm, legal services, or professional services marketing

JD or MBA preferred, but not required

Proven client relationship and service experience focused on business growth

Skilled at working with and presenting to senior leaders

Strong track record in project management, client service, communications, and cross‑team collaboration

Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills

Outstanding written (business and technical) and verbal communication abilities

Strategic thinker and problem solver with exceptional attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment—maintaining composure and professionalism

High sense of accountability and ownership of projects

Proactive, solutions‑oriented approach to work and client service

Willingness to travel occasionally as needed

Solid understanding of business development processes, technology platforms, CRM, and emerging technologies for client retention and growth

Deep knowledge of key client account management best practices
