Compensation Pay Range: $18.10 – $23.90 per hour. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses or premiums based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed.
The Delivery Specialist maintains and operates store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries, picking up customer returns, and ensuring vehicle maintenance and security.
Essential Job Functions
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete inspections before operating.
Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and collected monies at all times.
Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slip.
Communicate customer issues to store management.
Report maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage immediately.
Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle locked at end of day.
Clock in/out according to company policy.
Perform additional duties such as customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, errands, handling core returns, and putting up stock orders.
Occasionally assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising tasks when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities Required
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
Driving record that meets the 14/18-point system standard.
Legally required state driver's license, meeting company eligibility requirements.
Desired
Familiarity with automotive parts.
Ability to operate other light store equipment.
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
