We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to manage daily clinical research activities in the Neurosurgery Spine Clinical Research team.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and perform daily clinical research activities in accordance with approved protocols.
Assess patient records to identify eligible participants and recruit, interview, and enroll patients.
Obtain informed consent and ensure compliance with regulatory and sponsor requirements.
Educate patients and families about the study purpose, goals, and processes.
Schedule and coordinate patient care appointments, procedures, and other diagnostic testing.
Collect, process, and evaluate biological samples and administer standardized scoring of diagnostic, psychological, or behavioral testing.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and notify appropriate clinical professionals.
Document adverse events and report to research sponsors and regulatory agencies.
Assist in monitoring patient compliance with the protocol.
Collect, extract, code, and analyze clinical research data; generate reports and ensure data validity.
Support compliance with IRB, FDA, federal, state, and industry sponsor regulations.
Coordinate external quality assurance and control reviews by IRB, federal or industry sponsors.
Participate in developing new research protocols and contributing to protocol goal establishment.
Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in allied medicine or biological sciences.
Required Qualifications At least one year of experience in a clinical research capacity conducting clinical research studies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or knowledge in Neurosurgery.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Clinical research certification from an accredited agency.
Computer skills and experience using Microsoft software applications.
Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
