Pediatric Oncology Nurse II - 4K Dayshift

Responsibilities Provide day shift nursing care to patients with hematology disorders or leukemia and lymphoma disease at St. Jude. Support patients through current protocol enrollments that will revolutionize treatment for hematology and leukemia/lymphoma disease. Work approximately 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts, rotating holiday and weekend requirements.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Minimum Experience BSN required with completion of 18 months of clinical nursing experience. St. Jude or other RN experience required. Intermediate pediatric assessment, critical thinking, and pain assessment skills. Some experience in pediatric or oncology nursing. Working knowledge of research protocols. Strong ability to assess and interpret age‑specific data about the patient’s status. Strong clinical nursing, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law (LC: RN‑TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non‑Compact state. (LC: RN‑ARK or RN‑MISS) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Preferred Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (CPHON) preferred. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
Compensation Current salary range is $31.50 - $55.00 per hour.
