Over $500 billion is spent each year on digital advertising worldwide, while the industry undergoes foundational changes in media buying, online consumer time, and privacy considerations. Amazon Advertising Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to support our Ad Tech team as they build products that help advertisers reach customers and drive outcomes across Amazon properties (Amazon.com, IMDb TV, Twitch, Fire TV, Amazon Music) and thousands of third‑party websites and apps. In this role you will work closely with product, sales, and finance teams to size the potential opportunity of new product launches, set goals and targets, analyze petabytes of data, provide actionable insights, and write strategy documents.

Key Responsibilities

Partner closely with the business to size the opportunity (customers, ad spend, etc.) of new product launches.

Analyze supply, demand, and auction/bidding data to provide tangible insights that influence real‑time decision making.

Establish new metrics to track and communicate business health.

Write 1–6 page strategy documents.

Participate in and lead parts of quarterly guidance and yearly operational plans, including revenue forecasting.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.

5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles.

6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.

6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making.

6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.

6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of a quantitative role (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance).

Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root‑cause analysis, and creating/implementing an escalation plan.

6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact on business (financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).

MBA or CPA.

Knowledge of SQL/ETL.

Experience with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting data results.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Base pay ranges from $85,900 per year in our lowest market to $179,500 per year in our highest market, with additional equity, sign‑on payments, and benefits as part of a total compensation package.
