The Senior Financial Accountant ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting. This role oversees the full financial close process from month‑end through year‑end and plays a key role in supporting external audits and preparing financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

Reconcile bank statements, subsidiary ledgers, and other accounts to the general ledger

Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP or IFRS

Prepare journal entries, accrual calculations, and amortization calculations for monthly close

Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support management decision‑making

Review and record intercompany transactions, including billing, allocations, and reconciliations across subsidiaries

Reconcile sales, deposits, fees, chargebacks, and refunds across e‑commerce platforms (Amazon, BigCommerce, Shopify, Authorize.Net)

Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process

Assist with external audits by providing information and documentation to auditors

Assist with the month‑end and year‑end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion

Stay up to date on accounting standards and best practices

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role

Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS

Proficiency in financial concepts and reporting standards

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA or CMA certification preferred

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite)

Prior experience in the manufacturing industry
