Position Overview The Fire Sprinkler Inspections Manager is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the fire sprinkler inspection team. This role provides leadership, training, and oversight to ensure inspections are performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with NFPA, state, and local standards. The manager will drive productivity improvements, support scheduling, and partner with sales and account management to deliver accurate documentation and deficiency quotes. Additionally, this position plays a key role in training initiatives across multiple divisions of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of fire sprinkler inspectors.

Provide ongoing training, guidance, and technical oversight for inspection staff.

Conduct performance reviews and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Manage tools, equipment, and resources needed for inspectors to complete inspections effectively.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity within inspection operations.

Support the Sprinkler Inspector Coordinator by assisting with scheduling conflicts and providing timely resolutions.

Ensure inspection work is assigned and completed according to timelines and customer expectations.

Provide a 4-week look ahead on labor forecasting.

Ensure all inspections are performed in compliance with NFPA standards, state, and local codes.

Review inspection reports for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation.

Verify reports contain sufficient detail to support accurate deficiency quoting.

Assist inside sales staff and account managers with clarification on deficiency quotes.

Review inspection quotes with the sales team to confirm scope accuracy and labor hour requirements.

Provide technical expertise when questions arise during the quoting process.

Lead training initiatives across the organization, including contract foreman training, service foreman training classes, sales team training classes.

Serve as a subject matter expert for inspection processes and compliance standards.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection, service, or related industry.

Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.

NICET II (minimum) in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems; NICET III/IV preferred.

Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, state, and local codes.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve conflicts, and support cross-functional teams.

Proficiency with inspection reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
