Job Description: Clinical Research Assistant
To provide assistance in support of clinical research studies; assist with implementation and coordination of studies; participate in recruitment of study participants; perform behavioral or diagnostic testing; assist with collection, maintenance, and reporting of clinical research data. The Clinical Research Assistant will work both independently and assist MEND2 Lab members supporting various research projects related to mood disorders. The primary focus will be on the following studies: RuMeChange:
A randomized clinical trial involving youth with a history of depression. The study compares rumination-focused CBT with relaxation therapy, measuring changes through brain imaging, rumination habits, depressive symptoms, and cognitive functioning. MARIS:
A novel, multimodal, longitudinal study examining brain network properties during stress-induced rumination to understand their role in the development of depression in diverse adolescent girls. CCAM:
A study assessing how depressive symptoms influence cognitive performance, specifically facial emotion perception and executive functioning across diverse racial/ethnic groups. MORR:
A research repository of individuals with mood disorders willing to provide clinical data annually and participate in current and future mood disorder studies. Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, or a medical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. No prior relevant experience required; 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Function:
