Float Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/MLT)
to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Burleson, TX 76028.
Location: Burleson, TX 76028; must travel to 5 sites in the DFW area: Arlington, Weatherford, Burleson, Granbury, and Mesquite.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week).
Employment type: Contract, potential extension; full‑time (eligible employees receive benefits).
Base pay range: $30.00/hr – $41.95/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).
Pay range: $35 – $41 /hr (offered rate based on education, experience, and credentials; based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE).
Mileage reimbursement: Not provided.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and analyze lab tests per SOPs; report and review results.
Follow procedures for specimen handling, QC, documentation, and maintenance.
Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and document deviations; report critical results per protocol.
Maintain lab cleanliness, reagent tracking, and complete testing records.
Participate in training, meetings, and inspections as needed.
Provide customer service and cross‑department communication.
Requirements
Certification: MLS/MLT (ASCP or AMT).
Education: BS in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology or related field; foreign grads need IERF evaluation.
Experience: 1 year in high‑complexity clinical lab preferred.
Skills: Strong computer, QC/QA knowledge, multitasking, confidentiality.
Must have experience in Hematology and Chemistry.
Must live in the DFW area and travel to assigned locations as needed.
