Join Kingman Regional Medical Center’s Sleep Lab Team as a full‑time Polysomnography/Sleep Technician III. Located in northwest Arizona, this role offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.
Position Purpose A Sleep Technician III performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis and associated interventions under the general oversight of a Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) and/or a Sleep Board (ABSM) Certified Medical Director or designee.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct studies proficiently, in a timely manner and according to policy.
Explain steps of each procedure and test to patients and their families clearly and professionally.
Ensure patients and families understand explanations.
Discuss results of studies with physicians only.
Perform clerical functions accurately and timely, such as ordering supplies, filing, and charting.
Accurately prepare data for physician interpretation (scoring).
Assist in training Sleep Lab Tech I trainees when required.
Maintain all equipment properly.
Communicate with physicians and customers in a knowledgeable, professional, and courteous manner; perform all other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to handle frustrations calmly, courteously, and professionally.
2 years Polysomnography experience with at least 1 year of scoring.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licensure: Polysomnography Registration RPSGT from BRPT or RST credential from the AASM.
Certification: Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
Work Requirements: Must be able to move/transport patients via wheelchair to the sleep lab; 80–90% of the time seated in control room recording patient observations and monitoring computer data; 10–20% time spent standing, bending, and/or reaching while preparing patient.
