Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Job Description We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsible for the overall maintenance of yard equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and balers. This role requires expertise in hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, and power steering, along with the ability to perform preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance and repairs on yard equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and balers.
Perform tasks involving hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, and power steering.
Handle maintenance and repair work on truck brands such as KW and forklifts.
Repair and replace hoses, address leaks, handle seals, and maintain grapples.
Report daily on maintenance needs and results.
Support the Operations Manager in setting deadlines and criteria for projects.
Prioritize hands‑on mechanic work with minimal reporting.
Essential Skills
Minimum five years of maintenance experience.
Mechanical aptitude with knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, welding, and diesel systems.
Experience with forklift and crane maintenance and repair.
Proficiency in industrial maintenance and heavy equipment mechanics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Welding and torch cutting experience is a plus.
Experience with SAP and fabrication is beneficial.

The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts and the possibility of starting as early as 6:00 am.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
