Position Overview
CGI has an immediate need for an AI/ML Architect to join our team. This opportunity involves working in a fast‑paced, agile environment for a large client, partnering with one of the top 20 banks. The role is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX, with an acceptable hybrid working model.
Responsibilities The AI/ML Architect will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI/ML solutions within cloud‑based enterprise environments. Responsibilities include partnering with business teams to understand requirements, architecting scalable and secure AI/ML systems, integrating solutions into existing applications, and supervising deployment of models in production.
Required Qualifications
10+ years hands‑on experience in application development
5+ years in solution architecture, systems engineering, or AI‑related disciplines
5+ years experience with cloud platforms (ably AWS)
Proven experience deploying machine learning models and AI services in production environments
Hands‑on expertise with AWS tools such as SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, and MySQL
Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, or R
Familiarity with AI services for speech, vision, and text processing
Experience with MLOps and DataOps lifecycles and engineering practices
Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud data migration strategies
Exposure to multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Understanding of frameworks (TOGAF is a plus)
Experience with tools like Spark, Hive, and Airflow (Spark preferred)
Ability to design and implement AI workflows integrated with business applications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly
Experience in stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and strategic planning
Desired Skillset
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)
AWS Professional Certification in AI/ML (preferred)
Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (required).
Compensation Estimated range for this role in the U.S.: $121,200.00 – $158,900.00.
