Structured Investing The Structured Investing Group is a global multi‑disciplinary structuring team within the Asset and Wealth Management Division specializing in optimizing the Firm’s investing and lending activities as well as its funding and legal entity structure strategy. The team focuses on originating, structuring and executing transactions that affect the Firm’s global tax, regulatory and accounting positions. We work on transactions with deal teams across Asset and Wealth Management and the rest of the Firm, as well as originate and execute our own transactions. This is a creative, analytical and execution‑focused team, comprised of people with diverse structuring backgrounds who thrive in fast‑paced, changing environments.
Responsibilities We are looking for a seasoned US tax professional who specializes in international planning to develop and implement transactions and initiatives that would help the Firm adapt to the rapidly changing landscape of domestic and international tax laws. The successful candidate will be expected to develop executable new transaction proposals, which includes liaising with external advisors and the Firm’s tax department on technical analysis, modeling the quantitative effects of the transaction, analyzing the comprehensive impact of the transaction on the Firm (including effects on the Firm’s accounting, capital, regulatory, liquidity and other positions) and presenting the transaction to Firm leadership. The candidate will also need to work closely and collaboratively with other team members on progressing the transaction through the relevant Firm approval processes and execution.
Qualifications
US tax professional with 8‑10 years of law firm / accounting firm / in‑house experience and a current focus on international tax planning
Bachelor’s Degree
Well‑versed in non‑tax aspects of transactions, in particular accounting and financial statement impact
Must be able to work independently with minimum direct supervision
Strong team player
Strong communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills
Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States‑based position is $150,000‑$300,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year‑end.
