Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of cath lab experience and required certifications to join an acute cardiac cath lab on day shift with call.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in an acute care setting with a combined cardiac cath and interventional radiology (IR) lab
- Unit consists of 2 suites averaging 4 cases per day including both cath and IR procedures
- Patient types include STEMI, NSTEMI, and pacemaker cases, as well as IR patients
- Uses Epic EMR, MacLab, and Siemens equipment
- 8-hour day shifts with required call coverage
- Call requirements include approximately 10 weeknights per month, weekend call every third weekend, and shared holiday call coverage
- 30-minute call response time is required
- No floating to other facilities
- Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring cases, managing patients pre- and post-procedure, and performing patient calls
- Team includes on-site cardiologists during the day with overnight on-call coverage
- Scrub attire is provided by the facility
- Brief orientation provided during week before assignment start
- Must provide two recent references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
- Holiday coverage is shared among staff members
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab experience is required
- Must hold current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and RCIS or Certified Cardiac Interventional Radiology Tech (ARRT CI)
- Active state or compact licensure required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
- Experience with cath lab procedures is required; IR experience or willingness to learn is preferred
- EMR experience with Epic is preferred
- Driver's license submission is required for consideration
