Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas (no temporary licenses)

Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery or hospital specialty experience

Experience with infant care requiring CPAP or ventilation, central lines, stabilization/attending deliveries, and developmental care preferred

Proficiency in line placement, circumcision, and intubation procedures

Dedication to family-centered care in a clinical setting

Royal Blue Medical City Healthcare scrubs required

Compliance with hospital dress code, nail, hair, and tattoo policies

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit

Collaborate with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, OB hospitalists, and anesthesiologists

Utilize advanced medical equipment: GE Bedside Monitors, Giraffe and Panda Warmers, Meditech documentation systems

Float to Newborn Nursery as needed to provide clinical support

Assist with procedures including line placement, circumcision, and intubation

Provide family-centered care and support throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and unit guidelines
