Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating various equipment on-site, including front-end loaders, all-terrain forklifts, skid steers, and excavators. Versatility operating multiple types of equipment is preferred. Candidates must also be willing to work as a laborer when not operating equipment, as this role involves more than just equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, all-terrain forklifts, skid steers, and excavators.
- Work as a laborer during non-operating times.
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently on the construction site.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, such as excavators and skid steers.
- Experience in construction and earthworks.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, six days a week.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Versatility in operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
- Willingness to work both as an operator and a laborer.

Work Environment
The position requires working 70‑hour weeks from Monday to Saturday, with shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM for day shift operators and 7 PM to 7 AM for night shift operators. The work involves both operating heavy machinery and performing labor tasks as needed. A reliable mode of transportation is necessary to commute to the job site.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
