Position Summary

The Barista/Cashier is responsible for preparing high-quality beverages—primarily specialty coffees and hot drinks—along with handling food orders, operating the POS system, and keeping the store clean and well-stocked for guests. All tasks must be completed efficiently and promptly, while delivering outstanding customer service to our valued “MAMMA DOS” guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with brand and quality standards.
  • Accurately prepare and assemble food orders for guests in a timely manner.
  • Deliver prompt, friendly, and attentive service to every guest to ensure a positive experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests by anticipating needs and providing helpful recommendations.
  • Effectively communicate product knowledge, ingredients, and customization options to guide guests through the menu.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment and tools.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all service areas, including counters, condiment stations, and dining areas.
  • Follow and uphold all sanitation, food safety, and health code standards as required by company policies and local regulations.
  • Complete and record temperature logs, cleaning checklists, and equipment maintenance logs as scheduled.
  • Restock grab-and-go items, disposables, packaging, and other supplies to ensure constant readiness for service.
  • Participate in opening and closing duties, including cleaning, setup, and breakdown tasks.
  • Perform assigned side work such as wiping surfaces, organizing storage areas, rotating inventory, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Support team members in all departments to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow, especially during peak hours and off‑peak hours.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, contributing to a team‑oriented work environment.
  • Perform additional as by management to support overall store operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality and/or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functional groups in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Ability to handle large work volumes requiring a high degree of accuracy and be highly organized.
  • Detail‑oriented and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to set and handle multiple priorities, adapt to changing situations quickly, follow instructions, schedules and timelines.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.

Compensation

  • Starting hourly rate + tips (estimated average $150–$600 per pay period).

Other Information

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours may vary, Monday through Sunday or as the job duties demand. Work on holidays also be required.
