Overview

Our Baltimore office is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager works closely with the Controller, supervises multiple team members and is an integral part of the Accounting team.

Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 3 Accounting staff
• Assist Controller with cash receipt and accounts receivable processes
• Manage all aspects of accounts payable process including reviewing work of Accounts Payable Specialist
• Understand accounting policies and ensure entries are recorded accurately and consistently
• Review monthly entries and reconciliations prepared by the Staff Accountant
• Responsible for the completion of the monthly consultant accrual process
• Responsible for all aspects of the transactions and financial statements of subsidiaries
• Provide assistance in compilation of information requested by external accounting firm for all entities
• Other projects as needed

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred. 10-15 years of accounting experience may suffice.
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in spreadsheets and project accounting software. Deltek Vantagepoint experience a plus.
• CPA is preferred
• Supervisory experience
• Ability to work with minimal guidance, prioritize and multitask
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to interact and work with all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
