Dynamics 365 Engagement Lead (Functional Advisory & Strategy):

We are seeking a seasoned

Dynamics 365 Engagement Lead

with strong

functional expertise

and proven experience in

advisory, roadmap planning, and platform optimization . The ideal candidate will serve as a

strategic advisor

to client leadership teams—guiding them on maximizing value from the

Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform

and associated technologies (Power Platform, Azure, Copilot, Fabric, etc.).

The Engagement Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and cross‑functional delivery teams to define the

long‑term Dynamics roadmap , enable

process automation , and drive

digital transformation

aligned with enterprise objectives.

This position is pivotal in shaping the client’s long‑term Dynamics 365 strategy — balancing innovation, automation, and operational efficiency — while overseeing ongoing managed services and ensuring platform scalability and value realization.

Strategic Advisory & Leadership

Act as the primary strategic advisor for the client’s Dynamics 365 program—covering Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Service, and Power Platform components.

Partner with client leadership to define and drive the Dynamics 365 transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and enterprise architecture.

Define the governance and operating model for ongoing Dynamics 365 adoption, modernization, and support.

Lead functional advisory sessions with client stakeholders to assess business pain points and translate them into actionable solution roadmaps.

Collaborate with Microsoft and internal Centers of Excellence (CoE) to leverage best practices, reference architectures, and product roadmaps.

Oversee delivery governance for large transformation or enhancement programs—ensuring business outcomes, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Guide solution architects and delivery teams on best practices in Dynamics 365 configuration, extensibility, and process automation.

Provide executive‑level updates, business case support, and strategic recommendations for platform evolution.

Engagement & Program Oversight

Lead the Dynamics 365 engagement end‑to‑end, including roadmap definition, delivery oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Oversee Managed Support operations for Dynamics 365 ERP, ensuring service excellence, proactive issue resolution, and continuous platform modernization.

Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration across modules (Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, Power Platform, Data & Fabric).

Drive value realization through automation, analytics, and process optimization initiatives.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

Establish and maintain strong executive and operational stakeholder relationships.

Lead steering committee reviews, communicate program progress, risks, and benefits realization.

Ensure engagement, governance, risk management, and quality assurance practices are followed.

Identify and recommend emerging Microsoft technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Promote innovation through Power Platform, AI, and Copilot‑enabled process enhancements.

Lead knowledge transfer and capability uplift within client teams.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP) with strong

functional leadership

across key business processes (Finance, SCM, or Customer Engagement).

Proven experience in

engagement management , client advisory, and strategic roadmap definition for Dynamics 365 implementations or modernization programs.

Strong understanding of

Power Platform, Azure ecosystem, and Dynamics 365 Copilot/AI

integration opportunities.

Demonstrated experience managing

Managed Services/Support engagements

and continuous improvement programs.

Exceptional stakeholder management, executive communication, and consulting skills.

Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and collaborate in a global delivery model.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Solution Architect Expert / Functional Consultant Expert.

Prior consulting or advisory experience with top‑tier system integrators or technology partners.

Exposure to emerging technologies (AI, Copilot, Fabric, RPA) within Microsoft ecosystem.
