About The Team The Emerging Retail Partnerships team is a fast‑paced, high‑performing group responsible for establishing and growing revenue‑generating partnerships for early‑stage lines of business at DoorDash focused on the intersection of logistics and retail.

About The Role As Associate Manager of Business Development you will be focused on landing new enterprise accounts that will fuel the growth of one of DoorDash’s most exciting Commerce Platform bets. This is an opportunity to get in at the ground floor and operate at “start‑up” pace with the backing of a well‑established Fortune 500 company. You will report into the Senior Manager of Business Development.

Responsibilities

Cultivate relationships with senior executives at leading enterprise retailers and logistics providers

Independently lead end‑to‑end sales cycles, from initial outreach to contract close

Go deep with prospects to understand their biggest challenges and partner cross‑functionally to design custom solutions that meet their needs

Shape the product roadmap and go‑to‑market strategy based on your in‑depth product knowledge and market feedback

Play a critical role in DoorDash’s growth trajectory through high‑impact deal execution

Qualifications

4‑6 years of experience in sales, business development and/or strategic partnerships at the intersection of technology and logistics

Established network of logistics & transportation decision makers who trust you to bring them innovative and best‑in‑class solutions

Comfortable with prospecting and building your own book of business

Hungry and persistent, seeing challenges and customer objections as opportunities to develop creative solutions

Enjoy high‑stakes negotiations and find creative ways to unlock win‑win outcomes

Strong cross‑functional collaborator with a track record of building internal consensus

Effective and persuasive communicator, naturally optimistic but not blinded by conviction

Bachelor’s degree

Compensation The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado: $115,700—$170,100 USD.

Paid Time Off Details

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
