Radiologic Technologist – Radiology Department Part-Time | Every other Weekend (Sat+Sun) Rotating Mid/AM (11a-7:30p / 7-9a start). Location: Saint Anthony Hospital – Chicago, IL. Perform a full range of diagnostic imaging procedures: routine, portable, fluoroscopic, and C-arm studies Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient history and imaging details Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and proper stocking of imaging rooms and equipment Respond to emergent patient care needs and support workflow during busy periods Adhere to radiation safety protocols and patient privacy standards Essential Functions
Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures with precision and patient safety, adhering to clinical protocols Interview patients to obtain medical history, verify pregnancy status, prior procedures, and contraindications Accurately chart and document all procedures, post-study details, observations, and patient education Communicate effectively with radiologists, referring providers, nurses, patients, and families for coordinated care Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, perform quality control checks, and report malfunctions Practice radiation safety principles, including shielding and ALARA standards Prepare exam rooms and equipment, ensuring supplies are stocked and organized Position patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing discomfort Monitor patients during procedures and respond to changes in condition or distress Assist in training, mentoring, and orienting new staff or students Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and institutional policies Participate in continuing education and professional development Qualifications
Completion of an accredited 2-year radiologic technology program Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) certification (required) Current ARRT certification (required) CPR certification (required) Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude Ability to engage with patients and families with empathy and professionalism Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently during rotating weekend shifts Why Join Us?
