Job Description The University of Florida Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a motivated and compassionate Maternal‑Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist to join our team as a full‑time faculty member. Academic track (tenure or non‑tenure track) and rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) will be based on qualifications. The position will also include responsibilities as the Program Director for the Maternal‑Fetal Medicine Fellowship.

Responsibilities include:

Patient care: coverage of labor and delivery activities, oversight of complex pregnancy care, perinatal consultations, perinatal ultrasound, and invasive and non‑invasive fetal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Education: supervise and teach residents and MFM fellows in maternal‑fetal medicine fundamentals, surgical and ultrasound skills; provide education for third‑year medical students in the ObGyn clerkship and fourth‑year students on the MFM elective.

Program Director duties: administration and operations, teaching and scholarly activity oversight, fellow recruitment and selection, oversight of fellows, standards, quality, reputation, ongoing improvement of the MFM Fellowship Program, and compliance with institutional and ACGME requirements. Protected time is provided.

Committee participation: assigned hospital, medical school, and department committees; support department activities (rounds, lectures, postgraduate courses); participate in division conferences and fellowship activities.

Research and scholarly activities: encouraged with opportunities for multidisciplinary collaborations and professional growth.

The Maternal‑Fetal Medicine clinical team consists of seven clinical faculty, three fellows, six ambulatory advanced practice providers, 12 ultrasound technicians, two perinatal nurse navigators, and one genetic counselor. Care is provided at three ambulatory offices and one hospital facility, UF Health Shands Hospital, which is a Level IV maternal care verified facility by the Joint Commission.

Expected Salary Commensurate with experience and education.

Minimum Requirements

Medical Degree or equivalent; active or eligible Florida medical license.

American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) board certified or eligible.

Completion of an approved fellowship and board certified or eligible in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine.
