About The Opportunity Our client, a highly respected plaintiff‑side employment law firm in Los Angeles, is seeking an

Arbitration Attorney

or

Senior Arbitration Attorney

to join its growing Arbitration Department. The team partners closely with the firm’s litigation attorneys to manage and litigate cases that are compelled to private arbitration.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced, trial‑oriented environment—conducting discovery, attending arbitration hearings, taking and defending depositions, and working directly with senior arbitration counsel on final arbitration hearings (equivalent to trials). The

Senior Arbitration Attorney

role offers the opportunity to serve as a lead trial lawyer in arbitration proceedings, handling cases from start to finish with minimal oversight.

This is primarily a remote position, but candidates must reside in the Los Angeles area for in‑person hearings, meetings, and court appearances as required.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with litigation teams on cases compelled to arbitration, ensuring seamless coordination between court and arbitration phases.

Manage discovery in arbitration matters, including drafting and responding to written discovery, conducting depositions, and handling evidentiary issues.

Attend routine arbitration hearings and conferences.

Draft and argue motions, briefs, and related filings in both state court and arbitration forums.

Work closely with a Senior Arbitration Attorney to prepare for and attend final arbitration hearings (i.e., trials).

For senior‑level candidates: independently lead arbitration hearings and trials, including witness examination, opening/closing statements, and overall case strategy.

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, arbitrators, and internal litigation teams.

Maintain an organized caseload and contribute to an efficient, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

Active California Bar license in good standing.

2+ years of civil litigation experience required; 5+ years preferred for the Senior Arbitration Attorney level.

Experience with arbitration hearings, evidentiary presentation, or employment‑related disputes is highly desirable.

Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.

Exceptional professionalism, reliability, and communication skills—someone who thrives in the “in‑the‑trenches” nature of litigation.

Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.

Proficiency with common litigation tools (Filevine, Microsoft Office, Adobe, GSuite).

Bilingual ability is a plus, but not required.
