Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

BPCM is looking for a talented individual to join our Corporate Communications team as a Senior Account Executive. The ideal candidate has a strong background in thought leadership and storytelling, with a passion for helping brands define corporate narratives and amplify purpose-driven programs. We are looking for energetic, proactive, positive candidates with strong media relations skills, excellent established editorial contacts, and a collaborative approach to client management. Must have a minimum of five years of experience in Communications or Marketing, in an agency or in-house environment. Proven track record of strong/established editorial relationships, securing press placements, with experience in drafting press releases, developing creative story angles, and crafting well‑written pitches. Candidates will work across industries alongside senior team members to develop integrated communications programs and public relations tactics that position clients and their leaders at the forefront of their fields.

Media Relations

Developing and maintaining strong editorial relationships across multiple levels, including business and trade editors

Securing strategic press coverage (features, executive profiles, and long‑form stories) in national and key regional magazines, newspapers, podcasts, TV, and online media outlets

Pro‑actively pitching and securing maximum editorial opportunities that advance corporate narratives and strengthen corporate reputation

Identify and secure speaking engagements and panels for senior executives; Manage development of award submissions and byline content

In partnership with supervisors, planning, developing, and advising clients on integrated and measurable PR strategies

Managing client initiatives and taking ownership of specific projects

Ensuring routine media inquiries are handled in a timely and efficient manner

Client Relations

Serving as a primary client contact with the proven ability to manage and drive multiple client account programs

Overseeing junior team members create, maintain and distribute editorial reports, press, and budgetary tracking documents in a timely manner

Demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and relationship‑building skills; adept at developing rapport with clients to maintain strong working relationships

Responding to client requests promptly with enthusiasm and accuracy

Ensuring that key milestones and projects are on track, within prescribed timelines and are value‑producing

Ideating, planning, and executing partnerships and activations

Advising clients on positioning and messaging, developing and/or editing brand communications to meet press‑facing needs (including, but not limited to press releases, talking points, interview responses, etc.)

Reporting

Reviewing media and reports compiled by junior team members on relevant client news and trends

Overseeing press credit reporting according to client preference

Proficient in MuckRack, PowerPoint, Excel, etc

Writing

Drafting and contributing to press releases and client materials, such as Q&A's, that encompass brand messaging and positioning

Manage select senior executives' LinkedIn presence, advising on strategy and developing copy to amplify announcements and company news

Overseeing creation, maintenance and timely distribution of editorial reports, press clippings and budgetary tracking documents

Exhibiting strong writing, communication, and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, agency, and colleagues

Team Management / Development

Directly managing day‑to‑day activities on multiple accounts

Managing and mentoring direct reports, including interns

Managing and mentoring junior staff reporting into this role while maintaining close communication with Supervisors or Directors to ensure efficient prioritization and workflow

Directly managing day‑to‑day activities on assigned account

About You

Must have a minimum of 5 years of PR and/or Marketing experience working in an agency or in‑house setting, ideally with sustainable brands

Degree ideally in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field

Established editorial relationships across categories, including business

Seasoned writing skills with proven experience drafting executive messaging and thought‑leadership materials

Strong project and people management skills

Proactively function as a friendly gatekeeper, handling confidential and sensitive information

Proactive about finding and presenting solutions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Meticulously organized and detail oriented

Flexible in adapting to changing timelines and priorities

This role will be hybrid, 3 days minimum in office.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000.00- $80,000.00. Actual compensation is based on a range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location. Whether a prospective employee will be paid within the compensation range listed above will depend on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations, and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
