Assistant to the Automation Manager (Direct Hire)

International Precision Components Corporation seeks a hands‑on, mechanically inclined Assistant to the Automation Manager to support our automated injection‑molding operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Automation Manager to ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and modification of our automated systems. Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and modify EOAT: Assist in designing, fabricating, and assembling new and modified end‑of‑arm‑tooling to improve robotic efficiency and adapt to new production requirements. Maintain and repair equipment: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on custom automation cells, injection‑molding machines, and robotic systems to minimize downtime and ensure reliable performance. Troubleshoot issues: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues within the automated production cells using blueprints, schematics, and mechanical aptitude. Program and operate robots: Learn to operate and program Krauss Maffei and Sepro robots to perform automated tasks, such as removing parts from injection‑molding machines. Support production: Provide hands‑on technical support to production staff, assisting with machine setups, change and ensuring safe and efficient operation of automated equipment. Document work: Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, work orders, and modifications made to tooling or equipment. Ensure safety and quality: Apply all company safety regulations, perform lockout/tag‑out procedures, and monitor the quality of parts produced by automated cells. Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing environment. Prior experience with injection‑molding, automation, or robotics is a plus. Experience with machining equipment such as mills and lathes is highly desirable. Skills And Abilities

Mechanical aptitude: Strong hands‑on mechanical skills and ability to work with power tools and hand tools. Problem‑solving: Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in a fast‑paced environment. Technical learning: Eagerness and ability to learn new skills, including robot programming, EOAT fabrication, and custom automation. Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to work to ensure high‑quality repairs and fabrication. Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with the Automation Manager and other team members. Training And Development

IPCC will provide comprehensive training on operating and programming Krauss Maffei and Sepro robots and an introduction to our custom automation cell technology. This position offers a direct path for skill development and potential advancement within our automation team.
