This is a Full‑Time role based in Anaheim, CA, reporting to the Senior Manager of Ride Control.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support control systems from concept through commissioning.
Write and review Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) software (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and develop test plans.
Design hardware systems including processors, I/O, HMI, and wiring.
Perform system‑level analysis and hazard assessments (e.g., FMEA, fault tree).
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate high‑level requirements into technical solutions.
Support field testing and troubleshooting of ride systems.
Maintain documentation and adhere to safety and change control processes.
Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Basic Qualifications
Experience with industrial control systems and automation protocols.
Strong understanding of fail‑safe design principles.
Proficient in technical communication, including with non‑technical audiences.
Hands‑on experience with tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and function generators.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Safety PLCs and safety‑rated control systems.
Familiarity with NEC, UL 508A, and electrical safety standards.
Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and power systems.
Programming experience in C, C#, VB, or JS.
Themespark or amusement industry experience.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET‑accredited program.
