Engineering Manager

to lead our Gas Heater and Heat Pump engineering operations at our

Nashville, TN

facility. Reporting directly to the Global Sr. Director of Engineering, you’ll drive innovation, reliability, and execution across new product development and sustaining engineering programs. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives on guiding teams through the full product lifecycle — from concept to production — and is passionate about advancing sustainable heating technologies for pools and spas. What You’ll Do Lead all

New Product Development (NPD)

and

Sustaining Engineering

initiatives for gas heaters and heat pumps, ensuring projects meet cost, schedule, and quality targets. Manage a talented team of

Mechanical/HVAC Engineers, CAD Designers, and Technicians . Oversee development activities, allocate resources, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless transition from development to production. Collaborate with third-party technology partners and manage external development efforts. Support the

Project Management Office (PMO)

in executing Hayward’s gated development process. Stay ahead of market trends and competitor technologies to inform design strategy and innovation. What You Bring 12+ years

in an engineering/manufacturing environment (preferably gas heaters or heat pumps). 8+ years

leading technical teams with a proven record of delivering innovative products. Expertise in

DFM/A , safety standards, and regulatory compliance for heating systems. Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills — able to translate technical detail into strategic insight. Bachelor’s degree in

Mechanical Engineering
