Your Impact at Lila We are not building a traditional security team—we are designing security as a business enabler. At Lila, innovation moves fast, and we believe security must move faster. We are cloud-first, automation-driven, and relentless about embedding security into everything we build. If you want to build guardrails, not roadblocks, and you thrive at the intersection of security, engineering, and innovation, this role is for you.

What You'll Be Building Architect Secure Foundations: Establish secure cloud and policy‑as‑code controls (e.g., AWS SCPs, Config Rules, Terraform guardrails). Kubernetes & Container Security: Partner with infrastructure and ML teams to drive remediation of gaps and validate compliance. Embed Security in DevOps: Integrate SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning into CI/CD pipelines. Automate Everything: Build guardrails, policies, and security checks that scale through automation (not manual reviews). Partner with Builders: Work with developers and product teams to create reusable security modules and best practices. Identity & Access at Scale: Strengthen IAM, secrets management, and privilege boundaries. Threat‑Aware Design: Collaborate with threat intelligence and incident response teams to improve detections and prevent misconfigurations. Be a Culture Builder: Champion security as a shared responsibility across engineering.

What You’ll Need To Succeed Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) 8+ years in Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or DevSecOps roles Deep expertise in AWS security services (IAM, KMS, Config, Guard Duty, Security Hub, Organizations) Proven Knowledge in Kubernetes Security (RBAC, admission Control, pod security, runtime hardening) Experience defining and enforcing policy‑as‑code governance. Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, SOC2, ISO 27001) Strong experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) Experience with at least one modern language (Python, Go, Rust, JavaScript) for automation. Experience with security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, IaC scanning, dependency management). A builder’s mindset — you prefer automation over manual review, enabling over restricting.

Compensation We expect the base salary for this role to fall between

$144,000–$210,000 USD per year , along with bonus potential and generous early equity. The final offer will reflect your unique background, expertise, and impact.
