Job Type:
Full‑time (FTE 0.8, 32 hrs weekly, Shift 1, Monday‑Friday 0800‑1530)
Job Summary The Lead supports the leader by acting as a resource for staff and providers, assists with daily operations, and coordinates training and orientation. Required skills include critical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to work autonomously, collaborate with others, act as a change agent, and manage conflicts. The lead RN completes all work of other ambulatory services RNs in their designated care area. In addition, this nurse works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic, patient‑ and family‑centered care. The role systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute, and evaluate the plan of care. The nurse utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health. The nurse establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers. The nurse considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care. The nurse delegates and supervises care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice. This role participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assumes responsibility for professional development.
Experience A minimum of 2 years as a nurse in a healthcare setting is required.
Education Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required. Will consider current Froedtert Health non‑BSN prepared RNs with at least 5 years experience and formal commitment to obtain a Bachelor's Degree within 5 years of starting in the role.
Licensure Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or multi‑state nursing license from an NLC participating state. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
