as a full‑time optometrist in our highly medical, patient‑centric office located in beautiful Hays, KS.
What You’ll Need
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree (or pending)
Valid KS state license to practice optometry (or pending)
Background in ocular diseases is a plus
A patient‑centered, friendly, relatable, and reliable work ethic
Why Work Here Exposure:
You will gain exposure to a wide range of eye care and vision needs in a full‑scope practice with an emphasis on medical optometry, vision therapy, and low‑vision rehabilitation. The office is equipped with state‑of‑the‑art technology including an OCT, VF, Optos, and autorefractor.
Environment:
Each member of the vision care team is selected by our lead doctor based on experience, professional demeanor, and dedication to personalized care. We pride ourselves on providing the necessary time for each patient to ensure a comfortable experience.
Schedule:
We value work‑life balance – our staff doesn’t work weekends. The new doctor will work Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday 8 AM to 12 PM, with a capped schedule of 10 to 15 patients per day.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, health insurance, malpractice coverage, continuing education, and 401(k) with matching.
Benefits of Our Location Hays is a center for education, business, and culture in western Kansas. You can experience local history at Historic Fort Hays, the Ellis County Historical Museum, the Sternberg Museum of Natural History, and the Boot Hill Cemetery.
