Job Summary

The Insurance & Risk/ESG Manager position oversees the organization’s General Liability, Property, Cyber D&O, and Workman’s Compensation insurance policies and ESG initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Insurance & Risk Manage the company’s insurance policies, including property, liability, workers’ compensation, directors and officers, cyber, auto and other business‑related coverages.

Insurance Management Serve as primary liaison with insurance brokers, carriers, legal counsel and third‑party administrators. Evaluate and recommend appropriate coverage levels and policy types. Support acquisitions and new ventures by assessing insurance implications and ensuring proper coverage. Ensure accurate and timely submission of insurance applications, renewals, and endorsements. Provide data requirements as requested by the broker as part of renewal process and annual policy audit. Manage the payment and expense allocation of premium payments of all company insurance policies. Prepare the company insurance budget and allocation across the company portfolio based upon relevant metrics.

Claims and Incident Management Oversee the reporting, tracking, investigation, and resolution of insurance claims. Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to gather documentation and support claim resolution. Monitor claim trends and develop strategies to reduce frequency and severity. Review contracts to ensure appropriate risk transfer provisions are included (e.g., indemnification, insurance requirements). Collaborate with legal and procurement teams on contract negotiations involving risk‑related clauses. Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across the organization. Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and internal controls. Collaborate with leadership and department heads to promote risk awareness and best practices. Coordinate training for employees on insurance‑related topics, such as claims procedures and risk mitigation. Lead risk management initiatives, including regular reporting to senior leadership. Ensure compliance with insurance‑related legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain all insurance certificates, policies, and risk‑related documentation. Prepare reports for leadership regarding risk exposure, loss experience, and insurance coverage.

ESG Oversee the development, execution, and reporting of ESG initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate values, investor expectations, and regulatory requirements.

Reporting & Disclosure Assist in the development and implementation of ESG strategies that align with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Manage data collection, verification, and submission for ESG disclosures and investor questionnaires. Prepare internal and investor communication on ESG goals and progress. Monitor environmental impact areas, such as energy use, water consumption, and waste management. Collaborate with operations and facilities teams to implement sustainability initiatives.

Social Responsibility & Governance Support community engagement and labor practice responsibility efforts. Ensure governance practices align with ESG principles, including ethical conduct, transparency, and compliance. Assist in setting ESG‑related goals at the corporate and department levels.

Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles, with at least 3–5 years in the golf, hospitality industry or multi‑unit business environments. Relevant Professional Certifications such as CRMA, FRM, PRM, ARM a plus. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Adaptability to rapidly changing operational demands. Ability to manage and oversee financial operations across multiple locations. Strong ethical standards and integrity.

Compensation Base Pay Range

$100,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr
