The Roads and Highways Practice is seeking an Engineer-in-Training in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
Works with project teams on all aspects of projects, including project set-up, drafting, design, quality review and quality assurance, project coordination/organization, etc. Prepares and designs improvement plans for a wide range of multi-modal transportation projects Prepares and/or modifies construction documents, reports, specifications, cost estimates, and designs for projects Analyzes maps, reports, drawings, as-builts and test results for design projects Assists with post design construction support services to respond to contractor RFI’s, submittal reviews, as-built preparation, and field observations Performs construction inspection on project-specific basis Coordinates work with other disciplines and offices on multi-discipline projects Assists with utility coordination including conflict analysis and coordination with public and private utility companies Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 0-4 years of professional engineering experience Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Good communication skills (written and oral) Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences Familiar with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Preferred Qualifications:
Drafting and design experience with Bentley OpenRoads and/or Civil 3D for the design of alignments and 3D design surfaces Transportation project experience Construction experience 1+ years of experience designing transportation projects What We Offer:
