Supplier Quality Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled
Supplier Quality Engineer
to join our team at a predominant organization in the critical power solutions industry.
The Supplier Quality Engineer deploys and executes Supplier Quality Management standards to ensure the quality of supplies delivered to the plant.
Main Responsibilities
Provide strategic support to the Supply Chain Manager in assessment and qualification of suppliers, contributing to structured development and optimization of the supply chain.
Participate in the Supplier Approval Module (SAM) process.
Follow the SAM supplier status to ensure improvement of the plant supplier panel.
Implement Supply Qualification Module (SQM) and Supplier performance (SPM) at the plant level (outside and inside group suppliers).
Implement qualification of the part through the Part Product Evaluation Plan (PPEP) within the product evolution process (ROHS, etc.) and participate actively in the Production Part Evaluation Process (PPEP) with the Develop and Optimize Process (formerly PMP and PEP).
Ensure the effectiveness of PPEP for supplies delivered to the plant.
Manage incoming inspection policy and optimize it.
Monitor supplier quality performance at the plant level and report it.
Check effectiveness of the supplier's actions.
Escalate to the Supplier Quality & Development team when needed.
Implement containment, corrective and preventive actions to solve technical part quality issues of the plant using the 8D methodology.
Manage supplier claims in alignment with company procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply quality assurance within the electrical or power electronics industry.
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Experience with printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) or battery technologies.
Certified SAM Auditor or equivalent qualification with demonstrated experience in supplier audit and assessment processes.
Experience with Production Part Evaluation Process (PPEP) or equivalent part qualification procedures.
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to communicate efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Certified in Six Sigma methodologies.
Accredited ISO 9001 Lead or Internal Auditor.
Position Type This is a full‑time, salaried/exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

$95,000–$110,000 USD , depending on experience and qualifications.
