Sr Subcontract Administrator
KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions (MTS) group is looking for a Senior Subcontract Administrator (Sr. SCA) to support a program based in Alice Springs, Australia. The Senior Subcontract Administrator will perform procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work, administering a full range of subcontract types and sizes from Time and Materials, Cost Plus and Fixed Price up to any dollar threshold. Under minimal supervision, the Sr. SCA will solve complex problems, develop and improve processes, and maintain compliance with FAR, DFAR and host‑nation regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Operate daily government and commercial subcontracts, ensuring workflow and compliance.
Develop and prepare solicitation documents (RFP, RFQ, Invitational Bid).
Review subcontract activities at pre‑solicitation and award phases for risk and compliance.
Negotiate price, specifications, delivery dates, and incentives.
Implement FAR, DFAR requirements related to procurement.
Prepare documentation summary and cost/price analysis.
Prepare source‑selection statements and required documentation.
Protect company interests and ensure compliance with policies, legal and regulatory requirements.
Administer subcontracts to ensure satisfactory progress and compliance; identify problems, collect user feedback, recommend corrective action.
Oversee subcontract administration on overseas federal construction projects and lead cross‑functional teams through all lifecycle phases.
Monitor subcontractor progress against construction schedules, flag delays, and coordinate recovery plans.
Facilitate pre‑construction meetings and subcontractor onboarding.
Manage modifications and change orders to support customer demands.
Participate in bid and proposal activities, including data calls and pricing negotiations with multiple departments.
Resolve technical and administrative problems involving subcontracts.
Maintain regular interaction with finance, accounting, business development and senior management.
Qualifications
B.S. / B.A. in Business Administration, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field with a minimum of 5 years of subcontract administration experience for a federal contractor.
Strong understanding of FAR regulations and experience managing various types of subcontracts (IDIQ, CPAF, CPFF, T&M, FFP).
Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings and construction specifications.
Experience mitigating contractual and procurement risks, ensuring adherence to government regulations (FAR, DFARS, ITAR, CPSR compliance).
Strong negotiator with proven success in subcontract discussions.
Excellent organization, detail orientation and time‑management skills; able to coordinate multiple projects with limited supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to adapt to changing work priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Experience with Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
Candidate must have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance or an Australian TS/PV clearance. A polygraph examination may be required as part of the US clearance process.

Basic Compensation CO area only:
$92,400 – $138,600
CA area only:
$96,800 – $145,200
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s working location, knowledge, skills, experience, clearance level, contract affordability and internal parity.
Additional Compensation KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, including sign‑on bonuses, relocation benefits, short‑term and long‑term incentives, and discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
