Job Description
ONE A Potters House Church is seeking a passionate, strategic and ministry‑minded Social Media Manager to bring the church’s voice to life across digital platforms. In this role you will steward the church’s vision through creative and engaging digital storytelling that reflects our culture, engages our diverse community, and amplifies our online presence.
The ideal candidate is both innovative and analytical with a deep understanding of current social trends and digital behaviour. You should have a heart for the local church, a strong creative eye and a desire to use your gifts to help share the gospel and expand God’s Kingdom through digital excellence.
Key Responsibilities Platform Management & Strategy
Manage all official social media platforms for ONE A Potters House Church (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, Threads, etc.).
Create and execute strategic content calendars that align with sermon series, church campaigns, events and cultural moments.
Write, schedule and publish content that is timely, compelling and on‑brand using social media management tools (e.g., HubSpot, Later, Sprout, Hootsuite).
Ensure consistency in voice, tone and branding across all platforms.
Content Creation & Collaboration
Work closely with the Creative, Video and Digital Marketing teams to produce original content including graphics, reels, short‑form video and behind‑the‑scenes media.
Adapt messaging and visuals for platform‑specific audiences while remaining rooted in ONE’s core mission and voice.
Proactively identify and capitalize on trending topics and culturally relevant moments to extend reach and engagement.
Community Engagement
Monitor and respond to messages, comments, tags and mentions in a timely and spirit‑led manner.
Facilitate meaningful conversations online that reflect the values and heart of the ministry.
Flag sensitive inquiries or comments and communicate with appropriate internal teams when needed.
Volunteer Leadership & Team Building
Recruit, equip and lead a team of volunteer contributors who support content creation, engagement and live event coverage.
Provide clear direction and ongoing development for volunteers serving in social and digital communications.
Analytics & Optimization
Track and report on key performance indicators including reach, engagement and follower growth.
Leverage analytics to inform content strategies, adjust tactics and maximize audience impact.
Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to evaluate the effectiveness of social campaigns and inform future initiatives.
Innovation & Digital Growth
Stay current with platform updates, algorithms and best practices.
Experiment with new formats and trends to position ONE as a leader in digital ministry.
Identify innovative ways to grow and engage our online community in meaningful, mission‑aligned ways.
Job Requirements Qualifications & Requirements
34 years of professional experience in social media management, digital marketing or content strategy (ministry or nonprofit experience a plus).
Proven track record of growing and managing social accounts with compelling content and community impact.
Highly organized with excellent time‑management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional writing, grammar and proofreading skills with the ability to craft engaging and spiritually sensitive copy.
Proficient in content creation and scheduling tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Meta Business Suite).
Data‑minded with experience using analytics to drive strategy.
Passionate about the mission of ONE A Potters House Church and called to use creative gifts to serve the body of Christ.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required)
Photography / videography
Video editing or motion graphics
Experience running paid social media advertising
