Merchandising Assistant Manager – Dollar Tree Stores Role Overview

Assist the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team, creating positive experiences for local communities, and driving store merchandising and freight processing.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with all store functions and day‑to‑day activities.

Perform opening and closing procedures.

Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.

Adhere to all policies, safety guidelines, and corporate directives.

Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.

Process corporate directives such as Pull & Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey requests.

Maintain cleanliness across the store, including bathrooms and floors.

Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.

Assist with process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.

Manage freight flow and merchandise ordering in accordance with productivity standards.

Plan, merchandise, and maintain sales‑effective items such as Clip Strips and Power Panels.

Plan and implement monthly sales planners.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Prior retail and management experience preferred.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.

Ability to lift 30–50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.

Capacity to work in a high‑energy team environment.
