We’re looking for a highly motivated Junior Commodity Manager to join our growing team! This is a fantastic opportunity to build foundational sourcing and purchasing skills in the electronics/PCBA space, while gaining hands‑on experience in category management.

Salary commensurate with experience. We are unable to provide sponsorship at this time and due to nature of work US Citizenship is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Execute purchase orders and maintain accurate ERP data (pricing, lead times, supplier info)

Support new supplier onboarding and qualification for PCBA, harness, or electro‑mechanical components

Assist with quoting activities, RFQ data gathering, and cost‑comparison analyses

Monitor supplier delivery performance and help expedite materials to support production schedules

Analyze spend and supplier performance reports to identify cost‑reduction opportunities

Maintain strong collaboration with engineering, planning, and production teams

Focus Areas

Tactical execution under mentorship from senior sourcing staff

Learning supplier qualification and commodity segmentation

Building commodity technical expertise and process/operational knowledge

Exposure to long‑lead, high‑risk electronics categories

Typical Metrics

On‑time PO release rate

Price variance from quote to PO

Supplier on‑time delivery (OTD) for assigned parts

ERP accuracy and PO acknowledgment timing

Minimum Qualifications Education

BS Degree in Supply Chain Management

Experience and/or Training

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience

Understanding of electronics BOM structures and component hierarchy

Basic knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes (SMT, wave solder, conformal coating)

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Excel‑based cost analysis

Developing negotiation and supplier‑communication skills

Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred Qualifications Education/Certifications

Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or MBA

Professional certifications: APICS, CPIM, CPM, ISM, or ASQ Supply Chain Certifications

Experience

Managing cross‑functional teams and complex supply chain challenges

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Working Environment Work is performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Infrequent travel to a supplier’s location may be required and may include factory or test environments.
