Quality Inspector – Cable & Wire Harnesses – Level 2
Posted 6 days ago – part‑time, first shift, 3–4 days per week on an as‑needed basis. Location: Orange County. Pay: $30.00–$33.00 per hour.
SQA Services, Inc. is a leading provider of managed supplier quality services. We offer hiring opportunities for skilled quality inspectors with experience in cable and harness inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Perform first‑article, in‑process, and final inspections at client suppliers in the Denton area and surrounding locations.
Ensure products meet quality and specification standards.
Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails according to specifications.
Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.).
Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects.
Interpret manufacturing drawings and identify non‑conformances.
Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules.
Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods.
Familiarity with IPC‑A‑620 standards.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a cable and harness inspector/assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields.
Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components.
Proficiency in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC).
Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified or previously certified in IPC‑A‑620.
Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering.
Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing.
Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a cable and harness inspector.
