The President will ensure that BID-Plymouth functions at the highest levels, delivering safe, high-quality coordinated care, efficient resource management, smooth administrative services, and the implementation of both strategic and operational plans.
The President will be responsible for the executive leadership, strategic growth, and fiscal health of BID-Plymouth, while recognizing and building upon CAMELC's inclusive culture to further integrate mapping BILH system objectives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Exemplify BID-Plymouth Hospital’s values and Service Excellence standards and commit to making every encounter with patients, families, clinicians, physicians and other stakeholders the best possible. Provide visionary leadership in developing and implementing BID-Plymouth’s strategic plan and operational imperatives, ensuring exemplary, consistent quality across all services. Foster a culture of trust, teamwork, accountability, transparency, innovation, and excellence. Drive a high reliability organization through operational excellence in all areas of care delivery, particularly operating room, emergency, imaging and ambulatory care. Enable an engaged workforce via a servant‑leadership style, partnering with Administration, Directors and Managers to remove barriers that allow staff to provide high‑quality care and feel valued. Achieve superior financial performance through strategic planning, cost management, fundraising and effective legislative and payer relationships. Inspire a collaborative care model that serves community health needs and respects key stakeholders. Lead an ambitious philanthropy program to sustain BID-Plymouth’s growth and prosperity. Create a resilient, flexible, transparent organization that adapts to changing healthcare environments. Establish and implement mentorship and succession planning for physician leaders and medical staff across the enterprise. Collaborate with hospital, community and system leaders to advance a clinically integrated approach that delivers cost‑effective, high‑quality care. Provide system‑wide leadership in developing an integrated delivery network. Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders throughout the community, system and state. Represent BID-Plymouth to state, regional, national government leaders and other constituencies. Continue to improve quality, safety and patient experience through technology innovation. Enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness and financial performance. Focus on talent renewal by recruiting, developing and retaining the best providers and staff, driving clinical integration across the organization. Collaborate with the Board and senior management to strengthen the philanthropy culture. Articulate the value of the BILH network affiliation and nurture relationships with partners. Build collaborative relationships with senior executive team, system‑wide executives and physicians. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MD) desirable. Prior tenure as President of a community hospital within an integrated system preferred. Track record of exemplary leadership with broad knowledge of healthcare issues, value‑based care and reimbursement trends. Experience in an integrated health system, ideally in a competitive marketplace. Proficient in influencing, building consensus, providing leadership across diverse stakeholders. Proven ability to formulate operational strategy, develop operating plans and drive performance to exceed goals; large P&Ls experience. Track record of recruiting, developing and retaining exceptional senior leaders and clinicians. Experience collaborating with advisory and fiduciary boards, establishing trust and relationships with board members and key stakeholders. Abilities & Skills—Leading Change
Articulates and leads next‑level community care strategy. Enlists key influencers to act as change agents, aligning them with the BILH long‑range strategy. Communicates a compelling business case to gain organization‑wide buy‑in for significant change. Takes decisive action to set new norms for the organization. $440,000.00 USD – $540,000.00 USD The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
