Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $89,000.00/yr

This position includes leading and directing the work of the QC Chemists including personnel tasks (timekeeping, attendance, hiring, corrective action), routine analytical testing, troubleshooting QC issues to resolution, ensuring proper training and product release.
Essential Functions
Provide training, mentoring, support and daily supervision to site QC Chemists.
Instructs and trains all levels of QC Chemists.
Ensures QC Chemists comply with applicable site and laboratory Safety and Quality requirements conforming to EFfCI/ISO standards 9001 (Quality) / 14001 (Environmental) / 45001 (Safety) / 18001 (Safety).
Ensures QC Chemists perform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished products including daily checks for required instrumentation and properly calculate batch adjustments.
Verifies QC Chemists records and reports analytical data via manual records and software.
Provide progression opportunity from which QC personnel can transition into a Plant Chemist or R&D role.
Serve as a Senior Instrumental Specialist at each site supporting the Analytical Manager by troubleshooting instruments.
Ensures proper functioning of laboratory equipment and instruments and provides advanced troubleshooting of all laboratory equipment.
Demonstrates knowledge of process chemistry for all products manufactured at their plant.
Assists Plant Chemist, Analytical Chemist and QA Manager as needed.
Demonstrates proficiency on all analytical methods.
Assist with Risk Assessment approach to QC processes
Role Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (Science field)-Chemistry preferred
2 – 4 years as a QC Chemist I or equivalent job experience
Must have basic computer skills including familiarity with spread sheet programs
Capable of communicating and relating to employees at all levels of the company
Capable of independent work while adjusting to the priorities of production
Capable of walking and standing for long periods of time
