Capacity Planner - Jobs via Dice
Location:
Charlotte, NC – onsite 3 days a week.

Contract (W2 only, no C2C).
Job Summary This role is critical in ensuring infrastructure scalability, performance optimization, and compliance with risk and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will leverage data‑driven insights to forecast capacity needs and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support strategic infrastructure planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead capacity planning and performance management for mid‑range systems and infrastructure.
Develop, maintain, and refine capacity forecasting models using advanced analytics.
Deliver executive‑level summaries and actionable insights to technology and business stakeholders.
Analyze performance testing results using tools such as AppDynamics, DynaTrace, Splunk, SAR/vmstat, and Performance Center.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to model infrastructure performance and growth.
Review technical documentation to assess system performance and capacity implications.
Support BAU activities related to audit, compliance, and risk management.
Provide guidance on system and application performance improvements.
Ensure alignment with IT Service Management (ITSM) practices and disaster recovery standards.
Contribute to initiatives related to information security, regulatory compliance, and governance frameworks.
Qualifications
3‑5+ years of experience in IT Capacity Management or related infrastructure roles.
Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, performance tuning, and capacity modeling.
Hands‑on experience with tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, DynaTrace, SAR/PerfMon, and TrueSight Capacity Optimizer.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
Working knowledge of ITIL and COBIT frameworks.
Strong analytical and statistical modeling skills; ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Pay and Benefits Hourly rate: $70.24 – $70.24/hr.
